1. Burj Khalifa

Currently, the tallest building in the world, standing at 829.8 metres tall. It’s Dubai’s landmark building and the most renowned of the sites in Dubai. There is an observation deck that is located on the 124th floor, which you wouldn’t want to miss going to. There are breathtaking views of the skyline from the observation deck. Be sure to buy your tickets ahead of time to avoid long wait times, especially on the weekend. The building also has beautiful gardens and water features that are also stunning.

2. Dubai Museum

This museum can be found in Al-Fahidi Fort, which was established in 1787. The purpose of the fort was to fortify the defense of Dubai Creek. The fort was first renovated in 1971 and then again in 1995. The entrance of the museum has exhibitions of ancient maps of Dubai and the UAE, demonstrating the expansion of the Emirates. You can also visit the courtyard, which has traditional boats, along with palm leaf houses. There are also numerous display halls that showcase the different phases of life in the emirates. There are also ancient relics from the Al Qusais archaeological site.

3. Dubai Mall

The mall provides entrance into Burj Khalifa and is also the premier mall of Dubai. You

can also get access to the Dubai Aquarium. There are many other various activities besides shopping that can be here, such as ice skating, a game zone and even a cinema. There are also endless food options and plenty of shopping. There are also love music and fashion shows, along with other special events that take place at the mall.

4. Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum House

This residence of former ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum, and grandfather of the incumbent ruler, have been restored into a museum. This building is a great sample of ancient Arabian architecture. The Sheikh Saeed Al-Makotoum House was constructed in 1896 so that shipping activity could be observed from the residence’s balconies. The museum located inside is the Dubai Museum of Historical Photographs and Documents that show photographs from 1948 to 1953. There are also many other displays of letters and coins that show the growth of Dubai.

5. Bastakia or Old Dubai

This neighborhood was home to the wealthy Persian merchants who dealt in pearls and textiles in the late 19th century. There are lots of coral and limestone buildings that were built with wind towers, which were an early form of air conditioning. There are many galleries that can be found and explored in this neighborhood. This is the perfect place to step back into history and to learn more about Old Dubai.
